A great evening speaking to residents in Hadfield tonight but very difficult to hear from people affected by Universal Credit and the bedroom tax, struggling to afford enough to eat. No one wants to ask for hand-outs or help from family and they shouldn’t have to. We need a decent safety net for people who suffer ill health or bereavement, or both.

That’s what a Labour government will do.

And get rid of the awful Bedroom Tax straight away.
